Our Mission/Vision
Christian Resources International was founded by Logan Papworth in the 1950s with a simple conviction: that in order to fulfill Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples…” (Matt. 28:19), Christians in other countries need access to resources that will help them, particularly the Bible. And in America, we have a unique advantage to help. In our experience, most American Christians own more than one Bible and often have several laying around. When we compare that with the fact that many pastors in missionaries don’t have a Bible of their own at all, we are compelled to do something about it.
To that end, CRI’s companions collect and ship multiple millions of books each year to pastors and missionaries in other countries through our Michigan headquarters. In addition, we host missionaries at our International Resource Center – a 10,000 square-foot facility where missionaries can find the resources they need most.
“[My word] will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
Our network is made up of donors, volunteers, prayer warriors, and staff members who are passionate about this cause. We believe that everyone can be a companion for this effort regardless of their age, economic status, or ability. We are disciples making disciples making disciples.
And we’re not done, yet. We’d like to invite you to join us on this Great Commission! Together, we can make a difference that is exponentially greater than what our individual abilities could produce.
