Our visit to Ghana Africa has been a success because of you!  It was shocking to me to find out that some of the individuals I met, who were close to 50 years old, had yet to receive a Bible.  Others currently in Bible College had to share resources among students which slowed down the time to equip and train them for ministry.

I feel so strongly that NOW IS THE TIME to send the Word of God around the world to as many nations as we possibly can.

In the picture above I am standing next to a gentleman who was sharing that our gift of over $400,000 dollars worth of Bibles and Christian teaching tools was, to his knowledge, the most significant one time gift in the history of Ghana for God’s people!

Many thoughts went firing through my mind as I listened to him say those words.  In front of over 7,000 people he thanked CRI for giving life to the people of Ghana with the gift of The Word of God.  This gift would not have been possible without your prayers, literature donations and financial gifts.   As I took the stage, I was broken and overjoyed as I thought of each of you and your part in this great venture to share the love of God with Ghana.  Whether I have met you in person, been blessed by your letters or calls, I thanked God for you and rejoiced knowing you were the reason this was possible.

Those aspiring to be pastors, evangelist and missionaries will now be radically equipped for the ministry.  They have the resources for evangelism that will continue the word of the Lord.  Children at school will have the materials to be educated and God’s Word will not return void!

As we left the Bible College in Ghana we headed to Kumasi where we held a 3 day open air crusade.  We supplied local pastors with Bibles and teaching tools for their villages.  In the evening as I preached a message of encouragement and the power of God’s Word, the people were overjoyed at the kindness that has been shown to them through the gift you have provided.  They began to dance before the Lord with thanksgiving for His son Jesus and the living Word of God.

There is so much more I want to tell you but I am out of room. The good news is you can visit our website and view a short video clip of OUR accomplishments for the Lord. In closing, I have not had the privilege to meet many of you, but I look forward to the time when we meet in heaven.  We will be able to rejoice together seeing all that God did because you chose to be selfless, and chose to be God’s man or God’s woman by becoming a book missionary.

I love you and cannot thank you enough for your continued prayers, support and love as we wage war where the devil has tried to take over God’s children.

Half a world away from CRI are the islands of the Philippines.  If you traveled to these islands and ventured far out into the rural agricultural areas where water buffalo pull wooden plows through rice patties, you would find some of the worlds most economically challenged people.  Among these many people you would find a few that carry a heavier burden than most.  These are the people of God called to preach and teach and lead small congregations of people in worship and discipleship; the Pastors.

These unsung heroes of the faith work long laborious hours for pay that would be the equivalent of 50 cents a day.  After a full day of toil they go home to work in the gardens that will supply most of their family’s food.  Only then can they begin the work of ministry to the small bands of believers that make up their flocks.  They have limited education, very little training, almost nothing in way of resources, and numerous obstacles to overcome to get the work done.  To many these men and women are unknown, unnamed, faceless statistics discussed in some missions magazine.  To CRI they are friends in need who will receive a helping hand, a word of encouragement, and precious materials to help them in their personal growth and the leading of their people.

Pray with us as our team departs on March 5^th for the Philippines.  Our team will travel to 5 of these disadvantaged regions to host a Pastors and Teachers Conference.  We will preach a message of hope and encouragement, love these folks and honor them for their faithfulness,  provide them with a meal and time of fellowship, pray with them, and send them off with boxes and bags filled with CRI resources supplied by you and folks like you.

The CRI team will also have opportunities in places such as a Children’s Hospital in Manila, public school classrooms, several local churches, college campuses, and more.  We will conduct training seminars for local students that will be participating in short term missions projects.  We will also have the unknown opportunities provided by the Lord as we travel throughout the country meeting people and sharing why we are there.

A 40 foot container holding about 44,000 pounds of material is already on its way to the Philippines.  It will provide an enormous wealth of resources that will be freely distributed at every one of these ministry venues.  Anything left over will be gifted to our local ministry partner who will continue the distribution until all of the materials have found their new homes in the hands of someone that will use them to the glory of God.

The printed page has been supplied by the faithful friends of CRI.  These pages will be invaluable to those that receive them.  They will be used for literacy training, educational purposes, and most importantly for spiritual training and discipleship.   What you have begun, God will finish.  He will take pages that are lifeless and powerless in and of themselves and bring about changes that will count for eternity and transformations that only eternity will have time to reveal.

The finger prints of many of you could be found on these resources that were generously given for ministry overseas through CRI.  Pray with us for their safe arrival, their distribution, and for what God will choose to do with them that will go far beyond the printed page.

Your gift of $20.00 will bless TWO pastors and make all of this possible.  In the Philippines, that is enough to help with the costs of bus tickets, meals, and materials.  A life changing blessing for a struggling Pastor for $10.00 is a rare and wonderful opportunity.

Lord willing, the team will be involved in the following ministry opportunities:

•  5 major conferences in 5 cities across Luzon.  We anticipate over 1000 participants at these conferences.  Pastors, church leaders, and children’s workers will be in attendance.
• Speaking at as many as 10 different churches.
• Visiting the Children’s Hospital inManila
• Training seminar for a national missions team.
• Teaching time in the classrooms at area public schools.
• Training with college students.
• Distribution of materials from the 44,000 pound 40 foot container being ship in advance of the team.

 Opportunity for involvement:

Each of the Pastors participating in this conference will need financial assistance to attend.  Many will have to come by bus and will not have the funds to purchase a ticket.  Very few would have the money to purchase their lunch the day of the conference.  It is likely that none of them would have the funds to pay for Bibles, books and other materials needed for their ministries.

CRI is going to help provide all of this.  In addition to the teaching, preaching and love each will receive at these conferences there will be a bag of CRI materials given to every participant.

Lunch and snacks for break times will be provided for them as well.  For those that need it, even their bus ticket will be a gift to them.  It is a big undertaking, but it is the only way for these dear people to take advantage of these conference opportunities.

December is a month that many of us reflect on the past year and what has been achieved.  At the beginning of 2011 I was reading through the Bible and there were two key verses that really ministered to me.  The two verses really go hand in hand.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (KJV)  Proverbs 29:18

 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.                 Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

 This year CRI’s goal was to send and receive more Bibles and Christian teaching tools than ever in the history of the ministry.  God has accomplished just that this year through your kindness, faithfulness and obedience to the Lord Jesus.  We were able to send something more spiritually tangible than food or housing.  We were able to send the living, breathing, life changing Word of God!

We continually praise the Lord for working so mightily throughout the year so that hundreds of thousands could be introduced to the grace, mercy and love of a powerful baby Jesus.  As we celebrate His birth this month, we are so thankful for what He has provided thus far in 2011.   In order for us to finish out this year debt free, and to ensure we are good stewards of God’s resources, $50,000 is needed to meet our annual budget.  We trust God to provide and look forward to blessing many more pastors & reaching more lost souls in 2012.  I thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support as well.

Just as Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was the ULTIMATE gift, we pledge to continue to send HIS Word to those in need so they can received the gift of salvation!  This past year we sent eleven sea containers filled with Bibles and Christian teaching tools to nine different countries.  The Word of God is the best gift that we can give our brothers and sisters in Christ on the other side of the world.

Along with my wife Maria and my children we join you in taking a stand for Christ this Christmas.  He is the reason we celebrate this day in our great nation, the United States of America.  We pray that you have a joyous holiday season and you take time to remember the Ultimate gift: God’s son, Jesus.

Dear Miss Sanna,

Thank you so much for your help with my mission’s class.  It was a success.  I had nine students, 3 girls and 6 boys ages ranging form 4-11.  Each received a Bare Your Bookshelf kit.  Besides learning about each country and praying for the recipients, the children raised money by collecting cans and bottles, donations from other home-schooled children and a bake sale.  They earned enough money to mail all nine packages of Bibles and books plus sent $20 to another ministry.  What a blessing for everyone!

It was just another day at Christian Resources International as one of our staff members collected the mail.  As she sorted through the mail she saw an envelope that had a postmarked stamp, but no address or writing of any kind on the envelope.  The letter did not have CRI’s  address, but inside the envelope was a letter from a pastor requesting Bibles & Christian teaching tools.  We believe this was a supernatural miracle.

Somehow the letter made it all the way from Myanmar (Burma) to us here at CRI!  Upon sharing this story with Jason Woolford, Executive Director, we are excited to share that we will be sending this pastor a complete Pastor’s Library so he may share God’s love & grace with the people of Burma!
