Great Crates
Great Crates consist of a few different size options of sending Bibles and Christian literature to those in need. Instead of sending individual books to one person, this gives us the opportunity to send a few boxes, a pallet, or a Sea Container to a region that is in need of the more than just one Bible or book. This program was created to ensure that anyone who wanted to be involved in a larger shipment would have that opportunity.
How Are Countries Selected?
Countries that receive Great Crates are decided based on two things: established relationships and funds. Great Crates are sent to missionaries that CRI has determined are legitimate ministries and capable of handling the size of the Great Crate that is being sent to them.
What Types of Resources Are Included on Great Crates?
The types of resources included in a Great Crate are Bibles, books, Sunday School Material, etc.
How Much Does a Great Crate Shipment Cost?
Costs vary depending on the size of the specific shipment, but those costs typically range from $1500 to $10,900. This cost covers shipping and all overhead expenses incurred. Another factor in shipment costs depend on the total weight of the shipment, as well as, where it is being shipped to.
Did you know that on a Sea Container that costs $10,900 to send, we can fit an average of $340,000 of retail Bibles and Christian literature? We find that so exciting and Praise God for that!
How Are Resources Distributed?
Resources are distributed via the recipient when they receive the Great Crate. In the case of a Global Road Trip, the mission teams have handled distribution in the past.
